Description: The Zara Dead Sea Project is located on the eastern shore of the Dead Sea coastline, 70km away from Amman and 22km from the cluster of four and five star hotels in the Dead Sea. The site is within the newly established Dead Sea Development Zone located within Zone 15 of the Jordan Valley Authority (JVA) zoning scheme with a total area of 1,000,000 m² and direct beach front access of 1.2 km.

In response to the dramatic nature of the site’s topography, our approach to has been to create a development that responds to, and accentuates, the site’s peaks and troughs. The built forms have been developed to further sculpt the terrain along the natural Wadis permeating the site. This theme has been further enforced through the mimicking natural features throughout the site in the form of the Urban Wadi; the main community and commercial artery spanning across the site.
